The Qur’an As Reflected In Nahj Al-Balaghah

If we would like to deal with everything about the Qur’an mentioned in Nahj al-Balāghah, it will become a very long discussion. Imām ‘Alī (‘a) has introduced the Qur’an and its status in more than 20 sermons recorded in Nahj al-Balāghah. Sometimes, he (‘a) has allocated more than half of a sermon in elucidating the status of the Qur’an, its role in the life of Muslims and their duty towards this heavenly book. Here, we shall only explain some of Nahj al-Balāghah’s descriptions of the Holy Qur’an. This book is an excellent tool in understanding the Qur’an in the light of Nahjul Balagha (the words of Imam Ali (as)). It takes the reader into how the subject of understanding the Qur’an, how to interpret it in today’s society and the cultural barriers to understanding it properly.
